Download 1.0.4

Checks every Join fastener’s head-side and tail-side hardware against the fastener diameter, by hardware type, and flags each one that does not fit.

What was asked

When a fastener is placed with the Join Fastener command, nothing checks that its washers, nuts, rings, spacers and blocks fit its diameter. A Check-Mate test should, by the hardware’s nomenclature: a nut equal to the fastener, everything else larger.

What it does

  • Finds every Join fastener (FAS object) in the work part and its components, including a Join container.
  • Reads each fastener’s pin and its head-side and tail-side hardware, and looks their diameters up in the same hardware library the Join dialog uses.
  • BLOCK, RING, SPACER and WASHER must be larger than the fastener; NUT must be equal. Anything it cannot measure is a warning, never a pass.
  • Runs as a Check-Mate test, with a Customize dialog, or as a plain NX journal.
