Points@ for NX
=============

Import, export and replace sets of points with Excel, from a Points@ ribbon tab (and Menu > Points@).
A point set is a named Design Group (NX's feature group) holding Point features. Coordinates are in
the work part's units (in or mm).

Import
  Pick an .xlsx or .csv. One point per row, one coordinate per column, starting at the cell you give
  (e.g. A2 when row 1 is a header). Coordinate System picks the columns: XYZ = 3 columns; XY, YZ, XZ =
  2 columns with the missing axis 0. Point Count limits the rows; 0 = every row until the first empty
  one. The dialog shows how many points it found before you commit. OK adds the set and closes;
  Apply adds it and keeps the dialog open for the next file.

Export
  Retrieve All lists every point set in the work part: Name, Points, Path. Select one or more, set
  the options (coordinate system, start cell, header row, decimals) and the file. An .xlsx gets one
  worksheet per set; a .csv takes one set.

Replace
  Same file options as Import, plus Body/Set Name: the set whose points are swapped for the file's.
  The set keeps its name and place in the model history.

Refused, never half-done: a cell that is not a number (named in the message), a row with a missing
coordinate, asking for more points than the file holds, a set name that already exists (use Replace).
Every operation is one Undo mark.

Install
  1. Put this "pointsat" folder somewhere NX can read, e.g. D:\nx_custom\pointsat
  2. Add that folder to the custom_dirs.dat your site uses (or a file named by
     UGII_CUSTOM_DIRECTORY_FILE). NX then loads startup\pointsat.men and startup\pointsat.rtb (the
     ribbon tab) and finds the dialogs in application\.
  3. Restart NX. Try it on samples\points_demo.prt with samples\rib_holes.xlsx (start A2, XYZ) and
     samples\spar_xy.xlsx (start B3, XY), then Replace with samples\rib_holes_rev_b.xlsx.
